Fukushima Exhibit Panels

This exhibit marks the 5th anniversary of the nuclear reactor disaster at Fukushima, Japan due to a 9.0 earthquake in March of 2011. These "radiograph" photos and documentary photos were taken by photojournalist, MORIZUMI Takashi.

ReNew Festival Pittsburgh

Artist Ann Rosenthal commissioned me to design and illustrate a map of downtown Pittsburgh showing the areas where native trees can be found. I also designed a companion panel that gives a short history of Botanical Art.

Heritage Public Library mural project

The Heritage Public Library in McDonald, PA received a donation slated to update their Community Room. This room is used for a whole range of activities from story time to Girl Scout meetings to senior citizen seminars.

I was asked to design a mural that would appeal to mainly children, but also adults. The theme of this mural is “books can take you anywhere.” This comes from an experience years ago when my daughter was 5. As she sat in the back seat of the car she spontaneously asked:

“ Do you know what I love about book, Mom?”

“No, Honey, I don’t.”

“ Books can take you anywhere!”
